Processing Levels Data
Yes we process "levels" data. These data types
are typically associated with sequential monadic
studies such as CLT's and HUT's.
We are very proficient in processing jobs with
this type of data. So much so that our quotes are
usually much lower than the compoetition because
we don't need to put that much extra work into it.

How Scanning Works
Our scanning software is a module of our
Data Entry software. The Scanning Module
is based on OCR (Optical Character Recognition)
and OMR (Optical Mark Recognition).
1. We re-format your questionnaire using this
Scanning Module and calibrate it with our
scanners.
2. The final version is made into a pdf file
that can be printed at the fielding location
to avoid shipping costs.
3. The filled out questionnaires are sent back
to us and then scanned through our high speed
scanners and into a structured database.
How to Decide Scanning vs. Data Entry
It is best to use scanning when possible as it
saves time and money. However, there are
circumstances where it is more profitable to
use standard key-punching over scanning. If any
of the following are true about your questionnaire
then it would be better to use standard key-punching.
» Questionnaire will be more than 8 pages
» Questionnaire is mostly verbatim type questions
» Questionnaire is already designed and can't be altered
Scanning With Skip Logic and Controls
Our Scanning Module contains the same powerful controls
for routing and skip logic as our data entry software.
Questions marked that do not follow the programmed
controls are flagged during scanning. A supervisor
then reviews the issue(s) and deals with them
appropriately.
Additional Data Quality Procedures On Scanning Projects
All projects that Integruity deals with goes through
a validation procedure which tests the integrity of
the data. Each data field is tested for:
» Follows any skip logic
» Contains a valid value
» Contains the correct number of answers
» Has correct formatting/structure
The ins and outs of the validation process
are technical and boring, but the results are awesome.
Scanning and the Open Ended Question
The technology for character recognition of
handwritten text is very poor. Because everyone
has a unique style to writing it is nearly
impossible to ensure a decent level of accuracy
when scanning these types of fields.
Typing out the verbatim responses is still the
best practice. Our Scanning Module stores the
verbatims as images for transcription or coding.
Data Entry With Skip Logic and Controls
Our data entry software is one of the best
in the industry. Developed from a market
research survey perspective the software
allows tight control over each field of entry.
Every possible control for skip logic and
routing, response masking, min/max limits
are available. The tighter the controls on
data entry, the cleaner the data comes out.
Double Keypunching
We do double keypunching. This is a technique
used for greater quality control. The one
downside is cost due to doubling the work.
We are confident in our keying software
and data entry personnel's ability to bridge
the "quality gap" without double keypunching.
Data Cleaning for Data Entry
All projects that Integruity deals with goes through
a validation procedure which tests the integrity of
the data. Each data field is tested for:
» Follows any skip logic
» Contains a valid value
» Contains the correct number of answers
» Has correct formatting/structure
The ins and outs of the validation process
are technical and boring, but the results are awesome.
The Experience of Our Programming Staff
Integruity only considers persons with 8+
years of experience programming tabulations.
The reason we keep to this benchmark is that
it takes most people 8-10 years to become an
expert in their field. Surgeouns, Physicists,
Statisticians, et al are able to perform their
craft after spending 8 years getting good at it.
We wouldn't put your data in the hands of anyone less qualified.
Projects Tabulated to Date, Roughly
We have programmed over 2,000 projects to date.
